CRUSH is a high school robotics club
sponsored and hosted by Sonoran
Science Academy. Sonoran Science
Academy is a four-year-old public
charter school. The mission of Sonoran
Science Academy (SSA) is college
preparation for students to achieve
success in the high-tech community
through an instructional program that
includes high educational standards
while meeting individual student
needs to compete successfully in a
global technological society upon
graduation.

CRUSH is a student club/team that
was formed three years ago and was
a natural marriage of academic
instruction and “hands on
applications” of that curriculum. Team
CRUSH 1011 is a collaboration of
science and math with “real world”
applications. Our club builds robots
with the help of professional
engineering mentors to compete in
competitive events through the FIRST
program while working to spread the
message that science, math and
technology is a fun and important for
all students through programs and
demonstration.
